We can't help but remember Henry Gabriel who started this tradition of "Photo of the Month" FIVE years ago. Thank you Henry for all your contributions and devotion to the many parks and environmental concerns you were involved. God Rest Your Soul.
"This photo was taken in the Veree Rd area, several Octobers ago while taking a stroll with my mother. We often enjoyed walking in the park during the early days of autumn. I recall Mom asking me once if I hadn't taken this picture before.
I told her that I had, but that this year the leaves are different. And so it is every year, the leaves change, but they are always beautiful. I treasure the old photos and the memories of walking with my Mom in Pennypack Park".

The webmaster adds that Pennypack also brings back memories of times spent with his mom. Pennypack was a place to take a sled when it snowed or a bike when it didn't. I even remember once or twice when mom allowed me to play 'hookie' from school just so we could take a hike in The Park. Thanks Allen for sharing a special moment many of us have in common.
